Our Experts
Everything started when Nella faced her own divorce.
The scariest was fear of the unknown. And even though Nella came from the financial industry, she made a few costly mistakes and realized she knew nothing about divorce and money. Then, she became a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®), and later, a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics® (MAFF®).
Nella's mission today is to help other women going through a divorce navigate the financial chaos and confusion so they avoid money pitfalls and can feel confident and happy again. Indeed, divorce and your money matters are her business.
In addition to a CDFA® and MAFF®, Nella has a background in real estate, appraisal, insurance, compliance, and investment advisory and have the following professional designations: CRCP® (Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional®), CAMS-Audit, and CAMS-FCI (Financial Crime Investigator). Ms. Zelensky also completed her mediation training.
For Barry, it all started by accident…
Before the divorce advisory business, Barry worked hands-on in five critical areas: TITLE, MORTGAGE, REAL ESTATE, WEALTH MANAGEMENT, and INSURANCE. One day, his wealth management client--a family law attorney--asked Barry to talk to one of his divorce clients. She worried about future income, mortgage refinancing, re-titling her real estate properties, and insurance planning. Those are the areas where most divorcees face costly pitfalls. And this was where all of Barry’s experience came into play.
For the last 20 years, Barry's mission has been to make it easier for women going through a life transition like a divorce. He creates a customized divorce financial roadmap for his clients to avoid costly mistakes, achieve a more equitable settlement and maintain their lifestyle.
Barry understands women's perspectives and applies them along with creative financial strategies. He holds his clients' hands and shows them genuine compassion and empathy. They are happy and regain their confidence and independence.
